Thanks for letting us stay in your place markos! it was helpful to be able to ask you questions about spanish, and interesting watching the way ecuadorians live (abuelo’s cooking in particular). 🙂 – Anna Smits (USA) 2/23/2011
Hi! I stayed with Markos for 2 weeks and had a lovely time there. He was also my spanish teacher, and was very happy to introduce me to his friends and make me feel welcome. He is now my ecuadorian brother! He speaks fluent english but it was banned during my time there to help my spanish. His grandfather also shares the house and is a very friendly and lovely person, although he only speaks spanish. It is close to everything (although to be honest in baños everything is close) and very convenient. If you want ot ask me anything about it or baños message me. chris. – Chris Newman (UK) 10/25/2010
Thanks Markos for having me in your home for three weeks!
Felt really like part of the family with you and abuelo. Great way to learn Spanish, meet some real Ecuadorians and see your beautiful part of the country. Will recommend it to anyone I know going to Baños.

Marcos and Baños were both amazing. At the beginning of my travels, I wanted to improve my Spanish in a cool setting, and Marcos hooked me up with the perfect setup. His flat was comfortable, and he was kind, helpful, and an amazing teacher. I stayed only four days but could have easily stayed longer.
Thanks for everything, Marcos!!! – Michael Cooper (USA) 2/8/2011
